About The Sector
The Biotechnology and Food Enrichment Research and Development Desk is a specialized unit within the government food sector dedicated to advancing food quality, safety, and nutritional value through scientific innovation. Core Responsibility
The desk is responsible for conducting and coordinating research on food biotechnology and enrichment methods aimed at improving the nutritional quality of staple foods. The unit evaluates and adapts biotechnological innovations, including improved crop varieties and food processing techniques, to enhance food security and sustainability.
